LAHORE (The Pak Global Pakistan) – The ICC T20 World Cup trophy has reached Lahore, officially kicking off its city tour and drawing excitement among cricket fans and students alike.
The first leg of the trophy exhibition was hosted at a college in Lahore, where a special unveiling ceremony was held. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout as students gathered to catch a glimpse of the prestigious trophy and take selfies to mark the occasion.
The Australian High Commissioner attended the ceremony as the chief guest and participated in a photo session with the trophy. To further celebrate the moment, women’s cricket matches were also organized alongside the exhibition, highlighting the growing focus on women’s participation in the sport.
Addressing the gathering, the Australian High Commissioner shared his deep love for cricket and emphasized Australia’s commitment to investing in Pakistan’s future, particularly through the development of girls’ cricket. He expressed hope that Pakistani women would continue to excel in cricket just as they are progressing in other sectors.
As part of the Lahore tour, the ICC T20 World Cup trophy will also be showcased during the second T20 international match between Pakistan and Australia. A special photoshoot featuring players has been scheduled, while fans will have the opportunity to view the trophy at the PCB shop located outside Gaddafi Stadium.
