Iran Signals Progress in Nuclear Talks with US Amid Tensions, Prepares for Any Outcome

by Farwa

The Pak Global Pakistan — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed cautious optimism over ongoing nuclear negotiations with the United States, describing recent discussions as producing “encouraging signals.” However, he emphasized that Tehran remains vigilant and prepared for all possible scenarios ahead of a third round of talks scheduled for Thursday in Geneva.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to regional peace and stability despite growing concerns of military conflict, fueled by the US military buildup in the Gulf and President Donald Trump’s warnings of severe consequences if no nuclear deal is reached.

Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi, acting as mediator, confirmed the upcoming indirect talks and highlighted efforts to push towards finalizing an agreement. Previous rounds held in Oman and Geneva showed positive engagement but fell short of a definitive breakthrough.

The negotiations focus on curbing Iran’s nuclear program while addressing international security concerns. Both sides continue diplomatic efforts amid heightened tensions and global attention.
