The Pak Global Pakistan:

Billionaire Thomas J. Pritzker has announced his retirement as executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels Corporation following revelations about his long-standing association with convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Pritzker, who has held his position since 2004, also confirmed that he will not seek re-election to Hyatt’s board at the company’s 2026 annual stockholder meeting.

In a letter addressed to the Hyatt board, Pritzker expressed deep regret over his continued contact with Epstein and Maxwell, calling it “terrible judgement” and acknowledging that he should have distanced himself much earlier. “Good stewardship also means protecting Hyatt, particularly in the context of my association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, which I deeply regret,” he said.

Recently released Justice Department documents reveal that Pritzker maintained ongoing and regular contact with Epstein even after Epstein’s 2008 conviction on sex crime charges, according to The New York Times. These revelations have added Pritzker to a growing list of influential figures facing scrutiny following the unsealing of millions of pages of documents exposing Epstein’s extensive network of connections across business, political, and cultural spheres worldwide.

Pritzker’s retirement marks a significant moment for Hyatt Hotels Corporation as the company navigates the fallout from these disclosures. The scandal highlights the broader repercussions for elites linked to Epstein’s criminal activities and the increasing demand for accountability.
